Use a Remail: Remail is one of the most popular methods and comes in a few formats. You can either send your email to a remailer and have your data stripped from it before being sent out or you can use a website that offers a system to type in an email message then send it directly from their server. Either way, your data is still stored. While it’s impossible for the individual user to trace it back, those sites must still store your identifying information which can be turned over to authorities at a later date if there is a criminal investigation.
No matter how you spin, it’s nearly impossible to send a truly anonymous email online. Your identifying information is tracked, stored and filed by someone. If you’re using it for good, you have little to fear. If you’re trying to craft a poison pen letter or do something malicious, your data is stored and can be released to authorities.
